I kind of forgot about this song until I heard it on the radio the other day. Wall of Voodoo recorded Mexican Radio in 1982 and had decent commercial success, peaking at #58 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It did better in other parts of the world, peaking at #18 in Canada, #21 in New Zealand and #33 in Australia. It also reached #64 in the UK.
