The Land Rover Defender is a British four-wheel-drive off-road utility vehicle that was developed from the first Land Rover Series introduced in 1948 (formerly known as the Land Rover Ninety and Land Rover One Ten).
Long used by farmers and hobbyists, Land Rover tragically revealed in October 2013 that after 67 years of uninterrupted operation, manufacture would terminate in December 2015. With the most recent model, the premium brand has added more comfort to go with the off-mobility roaders.
The Land Rover Defender has long been the tough Jeep of Britain's counterpart in the United States.
