My worst RNG was when I went through the entire Y game with very little trouble and then got freeze haxed to death by the first girl in Victory road with her Weavile. It haxed my houndoom to death, froze my umbreon to death, then crit 1 shot my Cacturne, freeze haxed Bisharp to 5 hp, and crit 1 shot malamar with Ice Punch. Luckily my rules allow the use of revives ONLY if I have them, and only if their found or gifted. I had 2 so I got Houndoom and Bisharp back. But damn.

pro tip: never attack your encounters really early on. most of the time, you can just catch it by throwing balls at it. you risk losing that encounter to an unwated crit or status condition.

Ok, all you guys in the comments saying these two straight up stole from Jaiden animation or just copied her need to chill and growup. The rules for a Soulink nuzlocke have existed back since 2014 and were originally pitched through platforms like Reddit. Jaden herself even says most people haven't heard of it but she didn't invent it either. She's just promoting a old style she wanted to try. The fact they named the rival Jadien shows their crediting a source of where they got the idea to try it. Millions of nuzlockes existed with everything from standard to softcore, hard-core, randomized or a mono type. Just because someone does a nuzlocke someone else has done, doesn't mean you can or should gang up like they've committed theft. Ok? We're all here for a good time and to watch the chaos. Be adults
