Fun fact: the first aid methods that George used were the correct ones for a kid around Sheldon's age. First, he puts Sheldon on his lap or knee and pats his back hard to help him while putting Sheldon's head down, this technique is commonly used in younger children because it's safer and it is the best way to assist infants. Then, he proceeds to put him uspide down to see if it works due to gravity. When these two methods fail, he uses the Heimlich maneuver (also well portrayed since George does it pressing in the area down the ribs and moving up). Even if it is effective, this maneuver can harm younger kids, that is why it's a last resource and it is better to use the first two options first. Edit: Thank you so much for the likes. If you are aiming to learn the Heimlich maneuver, you should try to learn the other two methods as well! You never know if the person that chokes is a child or an infant even!
