Really nice repotting and pot choice for this tree...I really like the movement and taper of this effort...TFS...Sequim, WA...

Your music is wonderful to work on bonsais

@PumpkinBecki

Love this tree! There's so much movement in the trunk. I managed to find an awesome crab apple in a garden centre "reduced" section this week. I can't wait to get working with it 😊

Beautiful bonsai plant

@baldyeti

I’m having fun watching some of your early work. (It’s winter, and I live on the frozen tundra, no trees to play with) I’m glad you started narrating in future videos. You have so much knowledge, would be a shame not to hear you share it.
I am liking your malus, Dave. Great movement in that trunk. I appreciate you sharing your root work with us.

Beautiful choice of pot. Just repotted mine. I went for an unglazed lotus pot

Hi Dave, thank you very much for all your cool videos. I have always been watching them. I have several questions about bonsai and apples. Can I grow an apple bonsai from seeds from regular, store-bought apples? How many years would it take before it takes shape? Is it ok to prune the branches of the apple seedlings once they turn 1-2 years old? Also, should I avoid pruning the branches and roots at the same time? Am just wondering if these apples are harder to manage than Olive trees. Thank you very much as always :)

@buonleo

Hi Dave, new subscriber here, can I ask you what kind of organic soil you used? Cheers from Italy.

@zenobibonsai

Should repotting be done in spring for a crab apple or can it be done anytime?... also would cutting all the leaves of a crab apple in Auguest help ramification?... I love your channel really helpful :)

@richardandrew01

Hi Dave, i just tried to make an experiment where i root pruned a one year old apple and pear tree because the roots are already crowded on the pot. Unfortunately however, they seem to die and dry out. Is root pruning ok to be done with seedlings which are a year old or less? Hoping for your advice about this. Thank you again in advance.😊

@richardandrew01

Hi Dave, I already placed one of my dying crabapple trees inside a clear plastic bag. It has been losing a lot of leaves (it only has 1-2 leaves remaining, but these dont look so healthy.) recently, but the branches are still green. How long should I wait before I can remove it out from the plastic bag? I placed it in partial shade. Can I water it once in a while, then place it back again inside the clear plastic bag. My bonsai crabapple is planted in 80 percent pumice and 20 percent Akadama. Thanks again. :)
