It will soon be 20 years since I got married, my wife and I consider this to be "our" song. We met through a dating site and arranged a real meeting at the cinema. It was snowing lightly that day, it was evening and already dark, but the streetlights illuminated everything perfectly, I was standing at the entrance to the cinema from above, about 30 large, wide steps led to the entrance. And then I saw a pretty girl climbing the steps, the white fluffy snow created a special atmosphere. After sitting in a cafe, later I gave her a ride home by car, and this song was playing on the radio. We sat in the car in front of her house for half the night. I'm thinking of making a cover of this song for 20 years and showing it to my wife as a gift. :)

When I was sixteen years old, I had never heard anyone tell me I was pretty. My parents never hugged me or said nice things. They did care for me but… I was walking in downtown NYC in a family outing and had fallen behind in step when a tall young man stopped and simply said “My God you’re so beautiful” We looked at each other and continued on our separate ways. I have never forgotten that. This song always brings that moment back for me. I wish the young man well wherever he may be. I needed to hear those words.

Me and my dad used to always sing this in the car when I was young and when I went to live in England with my mum he passed away. So this is the only song I remember him by. RIP DAD I MISS YOU😭😭😭 your in a better place now with all the angels 👼
