Given that Bob had his stinger tucked away and his tail flat to the side, I think he was pretty chill! The pinch just told him that you were ground that wouldn't collapse under him, and considering how crappy their vision is, I get it. But a stingy, pinchy thing up your sleeve is a very bad idea, so no problem that you didn't film it.

Some succulent and cactus types do a bit better with a coarser, grittier soil mix instead of the potting soil type stuff they come in from the store. A coarser soil drains better which allows the roots to breathe and reduces the risk of root rot. I have a bunch of multi-year old succulents including an Ogre Ears potted in "Jacks Gritty Mix" from Bonsai Jack. (Yes; I paid extra money online to order a specific type of dirt XD)
