Nigel: Let’s taste the grape juice I made from plastic gloves. Nigel: What’s the best before for this coffee? Is it still good?
OF COURSE he drinks the coffee from a beaker
I’ve actually tried the exact same coffee. My can came from March of 1945 from its original case. Looked identical after opening. I found 1 tsp made a fairly strong 8oz cup of Joe. What’s interesting about that coffee and the time frame it was produced is that it wasn’t 100% coffee. It was actually rationed and stretched for the war effort. They used ground grain, tree nuts, and fruit pits to make what little coffee they had go further. Was an amazing experience that I can’t recommend enough.
Let’s get this out on a tray… nice
the camera man when he said "kinda have a package here" made me remind me of the YouTuber "phone repair guru" even the voice is similar
Asking nigel his opinion on food is like asking a blind man for his opinion on a painting
It's surprising to see a product that is actually filled to the top when you open it.
Steve1989 would go insane of this. Really well preserved coffee would be christmas to him.
you know that bro was fighting for his life on the toilet a few hours later
I was in the Navy in the early 90s and we were issued coffee from the late 1940s. First opening the tin it smelled quite normal. The next day, despite closing the lid of the tin, remaining coffee in the tin had almost no odor at all.

I love how no matter what corner you’re at on YouTube, as soon as someone mentions an MRE (especially old ones) there’s always a Steve1989 reference and I’m all in for it
You have to take into consideration that it probably didn't even taste good the day it was canned up 😂
Tastes random crap from his lab. Scared to drink coffee. Love you Nigel
I love your great sense of humor! I share your videos with my grand children, 10 and 12. I think you are sparking their interest in science and particularly chemistry
Next : extracting caffeine from world war 2 coffee
You forget that when you live outside for a few days, literally everything tastes amazing.
Any time I see videos of people opening really old unopened things it always makes me wonder how many of those are left
The fact he has a bequer that looks like a mug concerns me
