If Jordi Savall would ever wanted he could of instantly gathered an army of enthusiastic fans ready for whatever adventure. Being one of those can't heap up more praise onto this incredible man. Whatever he touches sparkles with energy and the whole thing gets alive and aglow with fresh attitude and warm affinity to material. His approach is very informed though never academic, and he always gets committed participation from every musician who is working with him. His conducting style is somewhat restrained, but his players shows spirited articulation, light elegant touch, absolute musicality and rich warm overall sound. I have not heard more calligraphically refined and minutely followed to every melodic turn and rhythmic change Telemann - marvellous interpretations. Hail to Maestro!)

Magnifique performance ! La verve baroque est restituée avec brio et talent , servie par des musiciens chevronnés ( les cordes sont eblouissantes ! ) et une prise de son impeccable ! Le Concert des nations et Jordi Savall nous offrent depuis tant d'années un voyage merveilleux à travers l'Europe baroque ! Un moment de musique exceptionnel ! Merci et bravissimo !

I recognize the violinist because of his neck scarf holding his violin. I think he / they might be the Ensmeble from Italy. I’ll Giordi Harmonica. Spelling😂? Have seen them all. One summer while I was performing in Grotz, Austria, I saw Jordy Sevall and his family rehearsing in the city castle for a concert. The next day I could not attend and I sat on the floor and watch them. It was a full moon night, and we were all walking through town, and I followed the music my friends went on to do something else and I ended up in the city castle when they were rehearsing. I also heard this ensemble playing with Cecilia Bartoli as she recorded in the Stephanenzahl, recording with the ensemble from Italy, the Vivaldi album. It was a dream all the music I’ve seen what a beautiful dream. I’m so glad to have found this video and I’m so glad I love music and I play.

Jean Philippe Rameau’s piece was a pure magical “walk in time” experience! The entire ensemble sounded so in tune not only with the music, but the epoch that inspired it🎼🎻
