The video is 60fps, but the capture looks 30fps. Most retro consoles really shine at the original 60fps.

Thanks for the video. You've inspired me to take the Neo Geo core for a spin with only 32MB SDRAM. It's an amazing effort from Furrtek, Jotego, Sorgelig and other hackers. The MiSTer project is moving so fast, I can hardly keep up with all the releases 😀

I'm a subscriber and love the output. However. Regarding MiSTer and this particular core, I was hoping you would go into how to setup, which additional files and certain rom sets are required. I don't imagine I'm the only one with more than a few unanswered questions on setting up this particular core so that everything is compatible and running efficient.

How did you boot into the Uni-BIOS to change the region? Edit: Nevermind, I figured it out. You hold the A, B, and C buttons during the bootup splash screen to access the Uni-BIOS menu.

Awesome video. love your chnl. can you show us or give us some pointer on how you setup the file structure format to setup neogeo working properly. i try to set it up, however it's not working correctly. The neogeo core loads up but having a hard time loading the rom file ( it doesn't show up when browsing to the game folder). i've downloaded the proper rom file pack. so i have on the root sd card neogeo >game folders with the actual roms files, on root of neogeo folder besides the game folders, i have the 4 files required, 000-lo.lo, sfix.sfix, uni-bios.rom and romsets.xml. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you truly noticed a difference vs. emulation on a pc or pi? I know fpga is true hardware emulation to the core but is the picture and sound better than traditional software based emulators ?

I know that the metal slug series is one of the most demanding on the neo geo, but just firing the machine gun causes slowdown. I cant wait for it to get beter, but im not going to adopt the mister until arcade emulation gets a whole lot more support. FPGA arcade emulation would suit me really well.

Thanks to the SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1 on PS2, I could play some NEO GEO games, including one of my favourites and one the most iconic games of the system: METAL SLUG. I enjoyed the compilation despite some emulation problems.
