I used this method when our entire apartment was taken over by ants. They were literally scouting everywhere including our bedroom. After 2 days there were no ants left and I saw the queen crawling on the wall! That's when I knew the war was over haha.

@VB-bk1lh

I do the same thing but a tad bit more borax in the mix and I place the cotton ball in a small bottle cap so I'm not putting a wet cotton ball on my woodwork. If it dries out, just add some more water and its good as new.

If you do this outside, or where bees can get to it, make sure to put the cotton balls in a container with holes small enough to exclude the insects you don't with to kill.

A plastic container with small holes drilled near the bottom just large enough for ants to get into with several of these cotton balls in it works great. I cut the coffee can down and put the top and bottom together to make a small 3" tall ant trap I can reload as needed. I've had the same ones around the yard now for a few years, mostly around the house and it keeps the ants that were getting inside at bay. Placing one near an ant mound will take out the colony in a few days or so.

@dogsareawomansbestfriend

Others gave similar advice, but NO ONE gave the idea about cotton balls!! THANK YOU so much😊❤

@Pksparty2112

I personally found that spraying them with Windex works as good and instantly. The spray kills the ants on contact. And the ammonia rids the sent trail so the ants won’t return. It also cleans your floors nicely when you clean up afterwords

@general5104

I have heard about this, but couldn't remember the recipe. I let your video play over and over, to build your views. . I labeled a plastic jelly jar, ANT BAIT, and your recipe and directions for use. I put 6 cotton balls into the jar, and then drew out 2 of them and lightly squeezed out and set in 2 places. I very much appreciate you! I'm subbing.

@TheChiefOrg13

Tried this technique and while there are still ants about, there are fewer than before. Here's hoping another day gets rid of them all. Thank you!

@3_3645

The ants i had wanted protein not sugar. I used a smidge of cat food with the mixture and it attracted 100's of ants poof they were gone 12-24 hours later.

@tomdumont1321

Worked like a charm - thanks!

@Ms.MariaBee

OMG I'm dealing with it now they are party central. I did a deep cleaning of my kitchen cabinets. Top an bottom I'm thinking their coming in through the kitchen exhaust. I had even used the Ortho Home Defense. Now I'm on this with the borax mixture, I'll see how it works the next few days. Thanks

@jamesvatter5729

Not all ants are "sugar" ants.

@SD-co9xe

It took a week or two for me but they did finally disappear.

@idahomikepreps

I used this, the ants came back wearing sunglasses and leather vests, it was like juicing them with steroids. JK, it’s works well.

@dennislun1

It works great

@582tird

I used equal parts borax, powdered sugar, baking soda. In a salt shaker, dusted my window sills where the trails were… ants all gone in 2 days 👍

@DJazzy1

Option: buy this boric acid solution with a glycerine liquid sold as Terro. It is reasonably priced and no "cooking" labor involved.

@sandrastephenson9369

Just put some in a lid off a jar. Wet borax solution on wooden floors no good.

@Hugspets

The small ants I have like cat and dog food not sugar!😮

@imaoompahloompa

Omg tysm there are ants in my room thanks for this!

@esoterika89

The ants were on the cotton ball within seconds. I n about thirty minute , it’s actually covered with ants. I’m able to save the rest of the mixture, in case I need more.
