Roya, your alter ego deserves her own channel. She's the anti heroine we need.
She’s really nailed that “bon bah voila quoi” face.
French here 🇫🇷 - I'm working a grueling 😂 number of days this May—17 in total—compared to the average French person. That’s what I get for taking a full week off at Easter in April and planning an 18-day vacation starting May 29. Then, just like in early March, I’ll be enjoying another long weekend (4 days) for Bastille Day in July, followed by a solid 17 days off in August, and yet another long weekend (just 3 days) in September. I’ll probably take another full week off in October, and of course, the usual 2 weeks for Christmas and New Year’s. Then I’ll need to figure out what to do with my leftover vacation time in spring 2026 (8 days, not including weekends and bank holidays)... 😁
Belgian here, I've got a total of 46 vacation days per year... and still it is not enough. 😅
I'll go to war when Macron is the first on the front line, and I'll go to work when Macron is the first on the production line.
American here. Aftee working for a year at my comoany I finally got 2 FULL weeks of vacation. 😊
The French eye rolls and looks of disdain. My heart!❤
@bgold Your understanding is correct. I like this channel, it contrasts French and American culture, she's a funny girl. As a Brit I understand perfectly that the French need 3 months off a year to plan the protests and strikes they are going to stage in the remaining 9 months.
I think its good in order not to cause burn out. Thats why we see so many tired zombie people in the u.s and not to mention production actually anyways falls cause employees are too tired
Meanwhile, in the U.S, I just applied for a job that offers 4 personal days and two weeks' vacation a year. The job is working as a Social Worker in a homeless men's shelter.
I'm genetically mostly French, and I think my ancestors fucked up leaving France. I wanna go back. 😂
We only work 10 days in May. It’s a big month for remembrance. We have time off to remember the ending of the Second World War. This year war 80 years so we had extra time off..
The way she talks about France I want to move there 😂
I live in Belgium- freshly retired as a freelance interpreter. Free time was so precious to me that I used to take between 2,5 and 4 months' unpaid vacation per year. I also often did not work 5 days week. I was a single mom. When my son was younger I used to work max 3 days per week.
So adorable. Love the non verbal expressions. They're better than words?
OMG I once talked about how smoking is bad with a French intern. Bad idée.
Don’t forget July! The national holiday 🇫🇷
God bless the French
I will never get over that fact they don’t work in August ❤ that’s my birth month 😢what I would give 😂
