@bipennate

I also agree with your take on the X's cost. There was a discussion on WatchCrunch specifically on whether or not this is too expensive, this was my thought (fwiw):

The Twelve X is a titanium sports watch with an in-house COSC movement with 120 hour power reserve for $4865.

The Bell & Ross BR05 Skeleton is stainless steel, uses a Sellita SW300 and charges $6900. The Maurice LaCroix Masterpiece Skeleton is in stainless steel, uses a base Valjoux 7750 and they charge $7400.

If we want in-house, the closest is the Oris ProPilot X in titanium with a 10 day power reserve for $7600 or the Zenith Defy El Primero 21 for $13,500. I personally think that there is a resemblance of the CW to the Piaget Polo Skeleton, but that one's $28,500.

My point of course is this: is the Twelve X a lot of money? Yes, $5k is a lot of money for most people, absolutely. Is it a lot of money for what you are buying, relative to what the market is for watches with a similar design or features? Not even remotely.

I don't see what the problem is, beyond the complaint that it's a CW. Everyone's favorite watch company, Seiko, sells watches anywhere from $50ish dollars to $420,000. I have no issue with CW offering a premium watch with excellent finishing and excellent mechanics at an off-the-shelf price, even if that off-the-shelf price is higher than most of its collection.

@GarryHirst

Exclusive interviews are genius ๐Ÿ˜‚ loving ur work

@jeffshinbaum8483

I love your channel because of the unfiltered quirkiness you bring to it. Please donโ€™t stop. Also I love the edits that were regretful to you. I said to myself nice thatโ€™s very creative. You donโ€™t normally see that on a serious channel but just your presentation alone is informative and entertaining as well as deep and fluid. Awesomeness.

@bipennate

Wow, your channel is really growing! Those exclusive interviews were next level access!

Im with you: I'm sized out of this one, but if it was smaller (which, of course, it won't be), I'd be saving my pennies as we speak.

As an aside, I'm always interested in watch collector's opinions if skeletonized dials - it's such a divisive design choice among collectors, yet the two skeletonized watches that I own in my collection (I'm counting the Bel Canto in that) get BY FAR the most attention and comments from non-collectors. For the average individual, they think that it's fascinating.

@JulioRad954

great edit Britt @3:53 lol, for that price the entire watch should be grade 5 Ti !

@Not_Mark_Twain

I like the Twelve and ordered one in Ti with the expandable Twelve X bracelet. I tried the X when they launched it at Worn & Wound in San Francisco. Nice watch -- unless you want to tell time. Serious legibility issues. But go CW!

@StillWaters25

Apart from the amazing review, the production quality of this video is higher level ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

@petewatchcollector

Agree that CW has been doing amazing stuff. As an owner of the Bel Canto and Twelve Ti, they are great watches. Will be looking at this one closely as well. Thanks Britt!

@jasondunn8313

Impressed you have access to these people to interview about their high end products๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
I love your edits Brit and love the fact you donโ€™t take yourself too serious ๐Ÿ‘

@SoCalWatchReviews

Another great video ๐Ÿ‘ I love this piece, CW is definitely flexing their muscles ๐Ÿ’ช

@sandydennylives1392

Great company. I got an original sh21 dress watch half price because they were changing the font, still perfect after nearly 10 years. No need for Nomos or Vachers

@larrydonovan1293

Thanks for this video Britt! Loving CW and what they are doing - this is a watch Iโ€™ll be checking out. When I saw the CW team in San Francisco last month, I didnโ€™t even know about the Twelve X - was completely bore sighted on the Moonphase (now happily on the wrist).

@naorbareket6482

It's always fun to watch your videos also because you are very talented in creating pleasant and clear videos, and also because I, as a man, also have a narrow hand like yours, and I always get from your videos information about the wearing experience if I had the watch, which is very helpful ๐Ÿ™
And you really need to review the 12 36mm in titanium

@kenthomas1613

Iโ€™d love to know how the watch looks in person as watches can and do look different in person as opposed to online photos.

Thanks Britt!!

@chris_f_eden

Purple being my favorite color Iโ€™ll stick with less expensive one with the purple/black dial and spend the savings on other watches.

@Carloshernandez-kk7dp

Saw 2 of your videos, immediately fell in love with your channel and now i am happy that you also made a video for many of my dream watches. Thanks !
