hot topic is basically whatever is popular! the emo aesthetic was big in the early 90s/2000s, nowadays its cutsie things,, it still has its edgy chokers, chains, pants, and band shirts though
I remember Hot Topic's stores looking exactly like that.... Every single one was identical. HT and Spencers was the go too store for burnouts, potheads, delinquents, and emo teens. Thanks for that shot of nostalgia!!!
I was born in the seventies so the eighties and nineties were my childhood. Hot Topic and gadzooks were the two stores I always hit up. Spencer's too.
Beige... and Hello Kitty... wow. I remember the goth and Korn shirts. π
Itβs called hot topic for a reason, the store sells whatever is the hot topic at the time. Bluey is very popular
Please bring back the 90s π!
Hot Topic was amazing when it first opened. Buying posters there was epic.
I miss 90s hot topic π’
As an elder emo, this makes me so sad. π₯

Shes right I will never experience it, it looked to much awesome then now π
The Hot Topic by me regularly had Norwegian Death Metal playing and you were lucky if the girl at the register who had 00 guages in and enough metal on her face to cause metal detectors to go off miles around says more than 2 words to you. And dammit, we loved it. They've gone soft!
That's what it smelled like! Holy sh!t! Spot on! Now Spencer's carries that same smell! Wow, i never thought about that until now......
I remember our hot topic was dark. And played metal
The world got humbled in the worst way possible
