When you have been on the roller coaster weight train, you always question whether the weight will stay off. So when you buy classics or expensive pieces you want to be able to wear them for a long time. That’s why you lean towards larger sizes. It’s the “just in case” mentality . You are not alone!!

@ireneboyer1481

It is very common for a person who was overweight and is now slimmer to have that mindset. It is a hard thing to overcome and forget. You are not an enigma. Just takes time.

@artsandbarts360

💗💗💗The LV denim jacket, you will be able to style that many ways☺….to answer your question….from my perspective as a former model, to begin with, all clothing, esp. today must be tried on, due to the various sizing depending on the designer, the make, the materials etc. As a model who was expected to be at a certain weight, my height also played a part in the couture of the clothing that was fitted to me, as well as my body type with my smaller waist , where as other models who had more straightened no waist torsos. Thus dear Meredith, try not to focus on the ‘size’ of clothing but the fit☺🙏🏼💖💖💖

@sheilacarlislepyreneesmom

Love both items!!!❤❤

@rushie72

as a plus size for the later half in my life, and losing over 40kg in the last 3 years, I totally get it. I still often purchase clothing a size up! I'm stll adjusting to the new me

@Lierad

Ooo the necklace is fabulous! Love the jacket too. Peter is a keeper 😄

@Tony.diamondd

Meredith your two new pieces are gorgeous love the Jean jacket.

As a male who’s struggled with his weight most of his life. I always go for bigger clothes. When I had lost about 60 pounds I was still shopping in the “bigger” section. You’re not alone.

@juliel4096

Fit is important, regardless of the size. I have broad shoulders so I need a larger size (usually) than what I would probably wear. Enjoy your purchases and enjoy them as you see fit Safe travels to NYC! A bit jelly, I love to visit NYC

@marybethlengyel8875

Love your two items and yes I too buy oversized clothes thinking they’ll fit better. I’m a size USA 18 and it’s hard to find my size in clothes so when I do I struggle with which size to get. Take care have fun in nyc too.

@samanthaleigh805

I can sooo relate to that. I always buy a size larger. I’d also like to have a more tailored look. It’s hard to change that mindset

@Smilingcats_couture

L🩵VE the denim jacket, the perfect staple! The necklace 💎 is adorable 🥰 Safe travels to NY 🛫🛬

@ameliarosescloset

Watching you and going to see you very soon!

@Michele_in_color

Just ordered a bunch of necklaces... great prices! Thanks for the share. Nice jacket. Now I'm shopping for a denim jacket I don't need... 😂🤣 Have fun in NY!🍎🤗🩷🎊🩵

@sandrarumbold7021

Love what you got 💖💖

@Smurtypants

I’m always concerned about stuff shrinking in the wash do that’s usually why i would size up if the material seemed like it may. I usually stick to the same brands and know my size and what fits properly so it takes out the guesswork

@AutumnBeckman

Both beautiful pieces. ;)

@ToniGrande-f3j

I have been always overweight and I do the same. My friend told me not to buy bigger clothes because it attracts negative energy and I would eventually follow that size.

@SFJRD12

Enjoy on your trip to New York! I’m in California same mindset here. I Gained weight again ❤

@lindathompson5099

So in love with the LV necklace and denim jacket 😘

@accountingforluxury
