ATTENTION: Anyone looking to do this, they no longer do it this way with an instructor. The current "NASCAR experience" bought all the driving experiences including Petty and completely destroyed them. You go out alone with a spotter in your ear. All the cars are very limited now and they give you certificates for 150mph when they are rev limited to 120 (5k RPM) because they are using 450hp crate motors now. I waited my whole life to do this and apparently I waited too long.
I m dropping the hammer. Great run. Best I ve seen Made the King proud That last full lap was awesome Getting all that she had. No idea what that set driver back but if you have some laps under your belt drive this one.
I clocked your best lap at 55.51, which calculates to about 162.13mph. Darn good lap for those programs ;)
Hey man, it was your money and your time. If you enjoyed it, then screw the haters out there. I don’t know why anyone wants to piss on a “Experience”. It was yours, not theirs.
Not sure who told you 171mph but they lied,60 sec lap around Daytona = 150 mph I had your last lap at 55.97 which calculates to 161.082 mph but even at that speed you did do a good job, I have about 2 million miles around that track...
Did the RWRS at Elko in 2017 ,awesome ,passed alot of cars, need to do late model dirt at Cedar Lake !
LAP TIME AV SPEED Entered track, came around to the start finish line and started lap 1 ---------------------------------------------------------------- 1 1:00.93 147.710 2 1:01.13 147.227 3 1:00.84 147.929 4 58.36 154.215 SHIT you had to slow down! passed car at Line. 5 56.44 159.461 6 56.03 160.628 7 56.03 160.628 same as last lap, consistent Not bad! best time was around 56 seconds at around 160 mph, I did it the old fashioned way, used a stop watch and timed each lap! did the math. Great Job as far as i'm concerned! I think so far the best video i've seen yet! Apparently the 8th lap ( in the experience ) is entering and exiting the track so you have 7 laps at speed.
56.14 seconds 2.5 mi = 22.456 per mi. = just over 147 mph.
This guy was hummin' at the end. 👍
Can hardly wait to do mine...at Charlotte!
I did this 22 or 23 years ago In Disney World. The car felt pretty weak. I had a corvette zr1 at the time and it had a lot more power than that neutered nascar. It was fun, but I definitely think they’re telling you that you’re going faster than you are. I wanted to go faster, and could have in my own car. Wether it was the gearing or a restrictor plate, something was holding it back. I can understand why though. They can’t let just anyone go 185mph around the track. A lot of people would die. I was worth doing, but I wouldn’t do it again. There’s no advanced package that lets you go faster if you do it multiple times. Unless something has changed since I did it. It wasn’t the crazy powerful car I was expecting. New muscle cars or teslas would blow the doors off those cars acceleration wise. And like I said, I think they’re exaggerating the speeds and lap times to fuel your ego, and the cost of it.
Going by your times on your best lap you ran 160 mph
Rusty Wallace still has his racing experience
Nice Job! You Killed this out of the Gate. Have you ever driven anything comparable to Cup Car? Have you raced in any competitive series. I'm going to do it in September.
Awesome How much did that run you and what package
What people don't understand is that during this time they were going a lot faster than they do now even though it's false advertising now. The RP experience allowed the rev limiter to go higher since you had an instructor in the car. So everyone who is saying "sorry to burst your bubble but you aren't going that fast" shouldn't be saying that since the nascar experience and the RP experience were two different types. Nascar experience is a worse version of this version. Even if you aren't going 170+ it's still closer than what'd you get in today's experience
My stock chevy cruze 1.4 turbo does 145... I was about to book RP experience and quit right after have seen this video.
Do they read off lap times at all while you are driving? Or, do you get a summary of each lap and it's speed once you have completed your number of laps?
I wonder how much it would cost to be able to do 188 and run the bottom.
