@EpicSauce-Digital

For those of you coming coming to this in the present day, I am just starting as of 2023... Noobs seems to be replaced.

"What Happened to NOOBS? First launched in 2013, NOOBS (New Out Of Box Software) was designed to make installing an operating system on a Raspberry Pi easy. But in 2020, Raspberry Pi Imager was released. This features most of the same functionality as NOOBS, while adding support for larger SD cards."

So basically Raspberry Pi Imager is equivalent to Noobs, as the link on his blog post doesn't bring you to download Noobs anymore, just the many options of OS downloading for the Pi.

Thanks for doing this tutorial, I have always wanted to have a go at computer programming and projects but never had the guts to do so as I am 61 years old and dyslexic , I have problems spelling IT never mind doing it, but now feel it is time to have a go, so Raspberry Pi added to Christmas wish list.

@digitalgods5568

One of the best tutorials I have seen on YouTube in any category. Very nicely done, even down to the speedup indicators on your video! Thanks, this helps quite a bit.

@NewAgeDIY

FYI

Picked up a CanaKit Raspberry Pi 4 (4GB). And it included Samsung EVO+ 64GB MicroSD w/NOOBS.

Not sure if you got a old kit or not. Thanks for sharing your ideas

Last point. Tell people to put that Pi in its case before plugging everything in.

I can’t tell you how many people I know that have blown up there Pi by shorting it out by having A piece of metal touching the backplate.

You have a great channel, keep up the good work!

@gvhiii

Dude (and I mean that with great respect) you are the man. I started out back in the 70's with the TRS80 then the TI 99/4a from the I went to the Ohio Scientific unit with the 3 processors (6505 / 6800 / Z80) with a Winchester 74meg hard drive that was bigger than a dell rack mount blade server. I remember the lights dimming when I power it on. Then of course the IBM PC (win95) up to now the Win 10. I've learned programing in all those CPU so when I bought the first Rasp for so reason I was lost nothing seem to work right from download to installing. 67 years old and this You Tube was a great answer to understanding the process. Thank you so much. I'm big into Hydroponics and now I think I can use the Rasp to help with my system. Ordering the Canakit and the Ultimate Starter Kit.

@tteastman4346

One of the BEST (actually the best) straight forward how to videos I've seen on YouTube. Well done and Ty!

@bonynge5

A brilliant tutorial, thank you. I've had little raspberry pi Element 14 for ages and not done anything with it. Time for this 75 year old to start playing.

@mhere4fun1

I must say, This is the most detailed explanation about raspberry Pi I have seen on YouTube.
I was pretty confused about many things in raspberry Pi before watching this video and it has cleared most of my doubts.
This is pretty under rated video and every raspberry Pi starter must watch this before u start working.
Thanks for detailed explanation.

@tg9460

Thanks. That was so easy to follow. I was confused about it until I ran into your channel. It's great.

@Weaseldog2001

I'm using one of these to monitor outside cameras.

It's an amazing amount of power in a small package.

@irwingalvarez

First time coming across this channel and as soon as the video started, IMMEDIATELY I was like, "why is Billy Eichner about to give me the deets on getting started with a Raspberry Pi 4"?

@MrBigajm

Thanks for this video. Just bought a Pi4 but it came with no instructions on how to set it up. Watching your video was the perfect guide.

@brentgutmann

I love it that the very first video I watch to understand my new raspberry pi is done by a guy in an mcrn shirt. Well done mariner!

@boeingpete

Excellent video. Clear, succinct with no time wasting narrative. Both useful and entertaining. Good job!

@TheoSmith249

Perfect timing- just got my first RPi4!!!

@Tubeytime

HANDS DOWN best intro to Raspi video, you gave me a direction to go in. Thank You!

@WSallai

Chris, this was brilliant! You provided everything someone with absolutely no knowledge of RasberryPi would need to start. Don’t know Python or any other language and am excited about learning that too. Looking forward to seeing what else you have and have subscribed. Thanks from a Nooby.

@Davincibeats93

Wow I don’t comment much on YouTube but this deserves a standing ovation 👏

@IgorEngelen1974

I just completed a pi hole setup with a raspberry 4 and it was a great project. Not too complicated yet very rewarding.

@KA4UPW

Wow,
Ive watched dozens pi started videos, and this is by far the best and easiest to follow. Thanls
