This song perfectly captures the feeling of being in a dream where everything doesn't make sense but you still somehow accepts it

@sati_kou_

自分の不安な気持ちとは裏腹にどんどん豪華絢爛に、どんとやかましく騒がしくにぎやかに進行する感じが、お祭りの中で人とはぐれた時みたいで最高に気持ちいいんだよな

@ShinPepsiman

I dont think I ever heard a song like this before. It sounds both happy and joyous but also a sad and gloomy feeling. Really strange

@Drywizard

This song is so unnerving to me. Because it’s.. unbelievably addicting. I feel intoxicated whenever I listen to It. It’s got a very upbeat, celebratory, and grandiose atmosphere, yet those words aren’t the right words to describe it. Because at the same time It’s got this undertone that’s just slightly too.. sinister for that. Like.. a Sinister Celebration. Never thought I’d ever have to describe a song like that.

@nicolassieh6799

Fun fact: this was one of the first film scores to use vocaloid in it

After seeing Paprika this song actually creeping me out, because it's really chaotic... and addictive...

Just narrowly missed getting into a car accident while this song was playing, felt like a heart attack.

@frogisis

One of the few films that actually gets dreams right and gives that strange orthogonal dimension of experience compactified inside the human mind the respect & awe that it's owed.

このパレードも映画のパプリカもだけど、出てくる全ての言葉の意味を理解してしまったら人間じゃ無くなりそうな奇妙感が好き

Is Susumu Hirasawa a genius?

[Yes/Yes]

@gertvandenberghe5914

This song perfectly describes the state of overthinking things, the chaos in your head with the inevitable despair that comes with it. It's when your mind literally feels like a carnival

@Ironwolf-pm7zs

I love how the lyrics critisize the modern first world culture it says things like "Rely on your SSRI pills (antidepressents), give money to the high-rise temples, liberty mimicking utopia."

@SeraphicBlue

Everybody except Japanese: I don't get what he says but I like it.
Japanese: I don't get what he says but I like it.
Japanese reading the lyric card: I don't get what he says but I like it.

恥ずかしながら、最近になってこの曲を知りました。メロディーだけでも惹かれます。
陳腐な言葉しか言えませんが、本当に大好きです。

Once this song started playing, in the movie, we knew that things were gonna get weird, REAL fast

@Herb0-CRT

If lucid dreams had a theme song, this is the one.

一見華やかそうに聴こえるけど、どこか虚しさと哀愁を感じさせる。
