I'm 108 years old still listen this beautiful song..
He was just 54 when he passed unexpectedly, and i am 58... I never knew how much this song would mean to me one day, today!
Today marks 24 years that my late husband passed away from Cancer and this is the very first song that I played at his funeral, he was only 41 and to this day I still miss and love him!
I was seventeen when I heard this song for the first time. Today I am 62 and still belive is one of the most poetic song ever....
My mom told my sister and I this was the song that played on the radio constantly when her and my dad were on their honeymoon back in 1971. She just passed away this Sunday. I am going to miss her so much.
I DEDICATE THIS BEAUTIFUL SONG TO MY WIFE....SATURDAY OCTOBER 9, 1999 WAS THE HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE. AT LEAST UNTIL WE WAKE UPΒ TOGETHER TOMOROW MORNING!!! GOD BLESS US!
I discovered this song listening an old 45rpm single with a love note written in the back from my father to my mother, I remember them.
This beautiful song was popular when I was on high school!Β Now I am 60 and I still love it!
In 1981, the college I attended held Friday night dances, which were well-attended. The DJ always, mostly for kicks, would encourage people to come up and sing. Most were horrid alcohol-induced debacles, but one night a young lady came up and sang this song so well that it left the usual raucous crowd in utter silence until she finished with the ultimate "AWAAAYYYY", whereupon the place erupted in applause and cheers. She brought the house down. Not sure what this has to do with anything, but this song always has me recalling this snippet in time..
i am in a long distance relationship. and the word "if a man can be two places at one time i'd be with you." really hits me. i love my relationship. i hope God bless us two, and also all of you here reading the comments. β€
I am 11 years old, I love this type of music. My Best Friend doesn't understand why I love this type of music. I tell her because this has a true meaning and just explains it in a song. Music now these days are popular for a week or two and then everyone forgets about it. This type of music is never ever too old to be heard. ππ’πππππ
These easylooking lyrics might be the most underestemated ever made
NEVER WILL ANYONE HEAR MUSIC LIKE THIS ANYMORE...I'M SO BLESSED that I was born in the Early 70's..
Such a beautiful song. Been listening to it for about 40 years. It's in at least my top 2 favorite love songs. Don't see how anyone can give it a thumbs down.
This song is amazing on so many levels.Β One of very few songs without repeat lyrics. Simple and beautiful.
I can't help but feel a knot in my throat every single time I hear this song. One of the best songs I have ever heard in my life.
Every time I hear this song, I weep. There is no particular reason, the words the sounds, the melody, it makes for a perfect emotional storm for me. I would like this played at my funeral.
Our Dad used to play this song in his guitar then let me sing with him when I'm still in grade school. Now it's all memories. He is now in Heaven, which is No more pain for him πππ
Certainly one of simplest and most beautiful songs ever written. How sad that as time has gone by this song hasn't stayed a part of songs you frequently hear on the radio. Its a masterpiece.
