@LVSkinny

Seeing this as a kid was so epic I swear

@FireBomberBassist

If you werent there for it as a kid you can’t fully grasp how epic this scene was.

@IrisCorven

I work a theater, and a guy in his 40's came in yesterday with a pretty damn accurate 90's MK Scorpion outfit. When I complimented him on it, he chilled with me for a second and talked shop about how he'd 3D printed the mask. Every time someone walked down the hall towards their movie, he'd shout "WELCOME". Probably the funniest shit I've had happen there in a long time.

@wrath231

My brother and I snuck into a theatre in Ottawa back in '95 to see this. RIP Mike, I miss you man.

@XerxesTheUndead

Gotta give props to Johnny in this scene. Somehow he managed to walk back to Shang Tsung’s island after being teleported to the Netherrealm which is quite literally a different dimension

@ghostyx9699

To this day I can’t walk through a forest without thinking that a ninja is gonna cartwheel out from behind a tree.

@skylarmurphy2289

Man this inspired so many ass kickings to my cousins in my grandmas living room.

@baiteme

Can we just all agree that having the autograph to end this scene is probably one of the greatest decisions ever made in action movie history.

@SherLock55

Scorpion has the most intelligent lines in any movie ever
"Get over here"
"Get back here"
"Get down here"
"Get back up there"
"Get back down over there"
LMFAO LOVE IT!!!

@UltimateShadow10

Can we all just appreciate that Johnny pulled off a Fatality and a Friendship without having to do a glitch or cheat?

@mattculpepper6444

I saw this movie as a kid. Scorpion was always my favorite. Hearing Ed Boon’s “get over here!”, “come here!”, the surprising “WELCOME!”, and “Get down here!” still sends chills down my spine all these years later. Despite Scorpion getting defeated, this was the BEST fight scene in the movie. Reptile’s is a close second. That head stomp was epic!

@francotamayo94

1:04 Scorpion doing a cartwheel was always funny for me.

@RyaStream

i was obessed with scorpion as a kid. this scene introduced me to the band fear factory (which is playing in the background), which introduced me to metal, which made me want to play drums and i have been in quite a few bands over the years, and even got to OPEN for fear factory at a concert. This one scene completely changed my life.

@ScenicFights

Who’s here after the latest Mortal Kombat movie? The new Scorpion and Sub Zero fight scene is amazing. Hiroyuki Sanada and Joe Taslim was superb, but there is something about Linden Ashby vs Chris Casamassa (Johnny Cage and Scorpion) that will forever have a place in my heart.

@erik1993

This Johnny Cage was perfectly portrayed by Linden Ashby, full of himself, confident, funny, a lil clumsy, kind of an asshole, but when it comes to fight, he knows how to fight.

@IHJello

4:08 i love the eyes Cage gives. Even he's like "What? A skull head? Ok this is ridiculous." Lol

@jbobdavis1984

I remember watching this with my friends at the theater and discussing this scene. We argued over whether or not Johnny Cage did his shadow kick when he went through the portal. Nostalgia overload

@MisterAcolyte

I love the fact that just because Scorpion's Skeleton eyes had fire in them, Johnny was able to deduce that he was about to shoot a stream of fire from his mouth.

@koolburn5218

You gotta love the subtlety of fan service in this movie. The "game voice" of Scorpion, Johnny's Shadow Kick, the fatality move of Scorpion with a skull head and "Friendship" at the end. All the little things fans of the game appreciate, yet doesn't interfere with the flow for the non-fan casually watching it.

@eerc-p4o
