A few words of advice regarding the SU carb rebuild. I prefer to go to either Joe Curto in the US or Burlen in the UK for SU parts, they're cheaper than Moss and Joe can always be counted on to know exactly what you need. This is especially true for the hard parts. Going through the trouble of rebuilding a carb should mean reaming out the shafts bores, fitting bronze bushings and then installing manganese bronze throttle shafts. You can fashion your own reamer and skip buying the expensive one if you check out Barney's page (MGA Guru). I'm not sure if the SU kit supplied by Moss now includes Viton seals or cork for the jet assembly. If it's cork, skip it and get the Viton. Sizing them up and you can order from McMaster. It's nice to see someone around my age also taking on a TC restoration. I too restored an MGA. I'm over on the MGE Forum as well as a few other places. Happy to help, especially if you're looking for hard to locate items. Cheers.
Show us some of the process and the results, please! 👍👏
